New Professors

The Liberated Learning Project welcomes two additional Saint Mary’s University faculty members to the first testing phase of the project. Professors David Bateman and Gerry Cameron will begin live in-class testing early in 2001.

David Bateman is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Management Information Systems at Saint Mary's University in Halifax. Gerry Cameron is an Adjunct Professor of International Development Studies. David Bateman will be utilizing the Liberated Learning concept for a course in Management Information Systems (ACC 323.2), and Gerry Cameron will be utilizing the concept for the course, Introduction: Development Practice (IDS 302.2).

Plans are underway to prepare these two professors for the implementation of the concept in the classroom. Training has begun, and demonstrations of the software involved have been provided.

Members of the Liberated Learning Project are pleased to have David Bateman and Gerry Cameron as part of the Liberated Learning team, and look forward to working with them.
